Polypropylene
Alias Polypropylene Resin
Poly Propylene(PP)
Physical Chemical Properties: Polypropylene
are crystal polymers of regular structure. They are
white granules, and are smell-less, nontoxic and light-weighted
thermoplastic resins. The density is 0.90~0.91g/cm3,
the apparent density is ≥0.38g/cm3.They have good mechanic
properties with large antitension intensity(≥22MPa),
great surface hardness, good elasticity and wear hardness.
They have good thermostabilization with a melting point
of over 160℃ and a softening point of over 120℃. They
have good chemical stability. Polypropylene hardly absorb
any water, they do not react with most chemicals and
are resistant to alkali, acids and organic solvents.
Polypropylene have good insulation property. The weakness
of polypropylene is that they are easy to be embrittled
and have a bad impact strength under low temperature.
However, these may be compensated by additives, co-blending
and co-polymerization.
Product Application: They may be processed
by jet molding, squeeze molding, blow molding, thread-drawing.
They are suitable for making various apparatus parts,
the shells of TV sets and radio, anticorrosion pipelines,
plankings, automobile components, turnover boxes, knitting
package bags, thin-film packaging materials, various
containers, clothing, carpets and artificial lawns.
Manufacturing Methods: The products use
fine propylene as raw material, and are produced by
intermission liquid noumenon method with CS-1 catalyzers.
Toxicity and safety: polypropylene is a
non-toxic and harmless product.
Packaging, storage and transportation:
Polypropylene-covered knitting bags are used for packaging;
Automobiles, trains and ships may be employed for transportation;
Fire, water, insolation, dirt and contamination should
be avoided during storage and transportation. |
